It used to be Kanawha Co. and the Huntington area were the hot beds of crime in the state. In the last 20 yrs., with the exodus from the center of the state and the influx of the idiots from the metropolitan Baltimore/Washington area, the eastern panhandle has captured the crime title.
It is a hot bed of drugs and the crime to support their habit. The I-81 corridor facilitates it and there isn't enough law enforcement to handle it.
The Morgantown area isn’t far behind.
