I have been in to the radio thing from about the age of 10 and now i am well into my 40's I live in snohomish County in Washington state, I would like to know if anyone knows of a store that i can goto and look at ham, cb and scanner stuff, in the 30 years that i have been into the radio thing, radio shack is not the same shack that i went to as a kid, now radio shack has kids that know about I-pods, they are into the internet, I am in to the old internet.

Thanks, Ken

That may be. I shopped there like 6 months ago, and I don't drive by there at all so I'm not sure. Look them up in the phone book and call the number. Good Luck!!!

I think the closest thing might be HRO in Portland. I go up there fairly often, and have not heard of any major store in your area.

Take a trip to Vegas and check out AES. :)

You did not want to shop there anyway, The Lynnwood storea was an overpriced RIPOFF!
Buy from www.copper.com Copper radio electronics. Best CB and 10 meter stuff. Very good prices!
HRO is overpriced IMHO

What the fun stuff is now for CB is the Ranger communicatons radios. They are 10 meter that you just move a jumper and have unlocked 11 meter (CB) and 10 (HAM) meter radios. They are great fro shooting skip. No one except kids really do much on the CB end. Most people use the upper freqs to talk on or shoot skip. Note Stay below the ham band or you will get hammered! Still lots of fun. I have a Galaxy 2527 base and 500 watt linear amp.
