Let me correct my statement.. I live in San Antonio, which seems to use EDACS (ProVoice) and one can't really track the talkgroups, etc do to the digital ProVoice stuff.. At first looking around on this form I noted Dallas may be going some route like this... The question came to my mind if a lot of cities in ones area go to systems you can't scan/listen to then maybe times are changing... I did not even think about this when I got my scanner... To be honest I just got a good Cummins diesel truck that is good for making long road trips.. I am a camper, backpacker, etc. and thought a scanner would be cool to put in my "rig".. while on the road..
But if ones sends a lot of time around home base and can't really scan then ????.. I don't know that to think.... but then again I have only looked around on the form for 2 days....
ps: My quote about citys going digital and me having a digital scanner is just if the cities go digital with "features" that can't be scanned that what good is a digital scanner....
