Here are two ADSBexchange feed captures of the last 8 hours of tracks at 0200 UTC Jan, 7, 2022. I am in central California. The first one with many lines is civilian and military. The one with fewer tracks is military and U2 if any. ( Not all Mil air of course ) What kind of tracks or range are you capturing?

As to the colors....from the ADSBexchange site:
Altitude-Colors_200x4.png
"Planes are colored in a gradient of orange to purple then red that give a visual representation of the aircraft’s altitude. Gray aircraft are on the ground and their ADS-B transponder is transmitting in ground mode." I believe red is 40k and up. This makes it easier to spot U2 and other high altitude aircraft.

Yup. More red, less blue as this LJ45 (flight TLK822) gets higher:

The gear is:
- RTL-SDR v3 dongle
- Raspberry Pi 3 w/ADSBexchange feeder image, which is a few years old and may have an update.
- 30’ AGL using a DPD ADS-B antenna, but mine is 10 years old and maybe shorter than the current outdoor vertical
- 1090 amplifier and saw filter combo that is USB powered
- 50’ of RG6 ( Yep, RG6 on 1090 MHz ) Let the screams begin!
- Cable TV splitter w/0 dB gain as I feed another provider too
- Some short patch cable from the splitter to the SDR dongle

I could use better coax, but there are plenty of other feeders. I decided the 1/2” Heliax I have is reserved for my transmitters. LMR-400 would help, but look at those 8 hours of tracks and let me know if it is really needed.
