With my long range analog scanner 15min north of Bastrop, I am hearing clicks on 452.4375 every 5 seconds non-stop. I'll never be able to track it or hear voice but maybe this is a sign that it is indeed active perhaps. The tower it's on is the same tower LWIN is on, its a good 500 feet tall maybe higher.I don't know how much help this will be but I'm programing the other sites on my HP2 and I'll see what I hear when I'm around the other sites.

I've also got that 800mhz system in Monroe programmed, I'll defiantly should be able to track that on the HP2.

Man I need a 436HP :/

Little update for you

WPWI492 Bastrop is active.
WPNS832 Monroe is active.
WPKN271 Monroe 800mhz is not active.

Plan on going to Shreveport next week so I'll be able to check on most of the rest.

Can't get any more info till I get a capable scanner, which is gonna be soon with all the DMR discoveries just in my area alone, but I hope that helps a little.

Here's something I caught while in Monroe a few months ago on the Monroe Tower (WPNS832).

452.12500 Color = 1

It showed up a as a Motorola Connect Plus System.

452.12500 may be the control channel, I'm not sure though.

Unfortunately, this all I have on this system right now. I hope to get back up there in a month or two and do more analysis.

There also Shreveport Communications towers in Richland & Lincoln parishes as well.

Didn't get any activity on 800mhz Caddo/Bossier sites:

KNBF679
KNRP461
WPQI686
WQCG969
WPQI774

Forgot to check the 400mhz Sites in Cheniere and Grambling (road trip straight through) but I suspect them to be active since the rest are.

More info next time I'm around.

Update

WPNS832
Monroe is active and in use. I found 2 talkgroups and 2 LCNs today. It is indeed a Connect Plus system with 452.125 LCN 1 & 452.725 LCN 2.

The Cheniere site is just transmitting chirps every 10sec, no valid data. Same for WPWI492
Bastrop.

The other sites are not transmitting anything at this time. More info to come now that I have the appropriate scanner.

WPQA850

Same as Bastrop and Cheniere. It's spitting out little spurts of signal but no valid data at this time. Still gotta hit grambling but so far Monroe is the only legit site active at this time. More to come!

We sure this is Multi Site? I'm new to DMR but I now have the equipment. Does a CAP system necessarily have to be more than one site. I guess the dual sites on the same FCC license gives it away but, never seen a TRS with dual sites that close with all the same frequencies.

Cheniere and Monroe sites have the same frequencies so my LCN finder is trying to switch sites on me which is probably slowing down the process.

So far I've discovered one TG: 63031 but I didn't listen long because I'm trying to get the LCN situation taken care of. Once I do that, I'll submit to the database. It's def in use, but not in wide use yet. That one TG is all I've heard after 5hrs combined monitoring and only 2 LCNs confirmed.

Bastrop and Delhi sites are still in "data chirp every 5 seconds mode."

Multi freq Bastrop is now emitting data chirps on at least 2 freqs, They were silent till yesterday.

WPUQ386
Single freq Bastrop is now emitting data chirps. It was also silent till yesterday.

Looks like they're bringing them online! Or at least doing something new with them, I hope the former.

On the Monroe Site, I'm going to Cheniere Site soon to see if the LCNs match without Monroe blowing up the signal meter (same freq probs). They just don't have alot of users yet which is why I can't get all the LCNs yet.

Question! I see unconfirmed LCN submissisions all the time in the database. Should I continue to wait till all 5 LCNs are discovered until submission or should I submit what I have, since it is known and active, as unconfirmed LCN and hope that someone will help me out. I usually don't submit data until I get all the data, but that may be months until they start using it more. I'd really like some input on this. Thanks,

Also: WPKN271 Monroe 800mhz is still NOT active.

After 2 months we have a confirmed system with at least one confirmed site submitted to the DB.
The FCC license changed last week and more frequencies were added to the Monroe Site WPNS832 for a total of 9.

I still have LCNs to confirm (again), the Cheniere Site (with ID), and Talkgroups but at least there is a starting point now. Judging by the recent changes like more frequencies being activated and emitting data; it's obvious they are progressing with it and other similar systems around the area.

However I am now sidetracked by Angus Chemical in Sterlington obtaining a Trunked Radio License that went into effect on 5/15 but so far is only being used in conventional mode.

The inactivity of WPKN271 Monroe 800mhz continues....
