Got back from a work event in Sierra County. Sierra County SO is now fully strapped.

TorC will be following suit.

Same frequencies. Confirmed SO listening myself and getting to have one of their portables in hand.

That's news to me. Sierra S.O. is still very much Analog operations. As for T or C they have zero plans to move to P25 or any talks of Encryption. Not sure what you were hearing maybe BP or something else but I can confirm they have no plans to switch digital or go encrypted at all.

I guess "strapped" is lingo for encryption. It's hard to keep up with all of it.
