I'm having an issue where required to sign-in after windows wakes from sleep mode (screen turns on).
I don't want password required after screen turns on, only after a computer reboot. I have sleep mode turned off, but screen turns off after a certain amount of time, 5 minutes. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? See attached photos.

Here is a .reg file to edit the registry to disable require password on wakeup. Unzip and click on the file and follow instructions.

.
Settings ---> Accounts ---> Sign-in options....

Set the option choice in this box:

Also, double check the screen saver settings, and here:

From AI:

✅ Solution: Disable Password on Wake from Display Off

Open Settings:

Press Windows + I.

Go to: Accounts → Sign-in options.

Look for: "Require sign-in".

It’s usually under the "Additional settings" section.

Set it to: Never or "When PC wakes up from sleep" → Never.

⚠️ If it says "Every time" or "When PC wakes from sleep", that's what's causing the issue.

Also check power settings:

Open Control Panel → Power Options.

Next to your selected plan, click Change plan settings.

Click Change advanced power settings.

Expand Display → Console lock display off timeout.

Set this to 0 or a long duration.

If not visible, you'll need to enable it via Registry Editor (let me know if needed).
