Signal Cuts off

Hello,
I am a newbe on this scanner stuff. My question is I have been having issues with signal here in Bell county Tx. I have added all things into scanner specially the threshold I have mines on 160 at 6 manual and I just got a new antenna (Remtronix) but I still get week signal, voice cut off. Do I have to add any reapeters for Digital? I have a BCD396xt & BC346xt. Here in Bell county T.X are running boths Edacs and P25 in the Edacs signal are good but when I use P25 the voices cutts off can anyone help me please. Thank you

If your using the small indoor antenna that came with the scanner you may have to move the scanner around to get a good signal or get yourself a outdoor antenna If you can't get a antenna out side get a an out door discone antenna and put it inside.

This is a symptom of having a Priority set up.

Is Weather Priority, Close Call or any other Priority set?

The 346 is an analog scanner. It cannot receive the P25 system. If you attach your 396XT P25 system programming file, I will check it for any errors. You will have to right click on the file and send it to a compressed (zipped) folder to be able to attach it. What programming software are you using? What is your firmware version? The latest version for the 396XT is 1.11.01.

The 346 is an analog scanner. It cannot receive the P25 system. If you attach your 396XT P25 system programming file, I will check it for any errors. You will have to right click on the file and send it to a compressed (zipped) folder to be able to attach it. What programming software are you using? What is your firmware version? The latest version for the 396XT is 1.11.01.

I have the 346 as Edacs then I have the 396 as p25 but I am having issues with the 396 with signal even if I am driving around it still cutting voice sometimes.

The Firmware I have is 3.02.02 is this not a updated one?

ahhh...3.02.02 was for the 396T i believe.

That is correct. If the firmware is 3.02.02, you have a 396T, not a 396XT. The T has a dark gray face. The XT has a bright silver face.
