I found this closed thread regarding using 2 germanium diodes & 2 ceramic caps used to produce a voltage for a signal level meter;

The problem is I don't know the exact diode numbers used since no one in that tread showed it in any post other than a photo which doesn't help.

The point I used on two different 2004's was TP5 inside the shielded compartment towards the front of the unit, which I have to figure was Bill Cheeks circuit.

I want to do the same thing on a 2006, but the only SS meter circuit I found is using D33 via a 10k resistor and a ceramic cap to ground which DIDN'T work! (All I got was a 1.5v negative voltage with a signal received.)

Hi Guys, today is your lucky day. I am currently modifying my Pro-2006 using my Bill Cheel mod books. Now then, the parts needed for the signal meter mod are as follows :

Capacitors: (2 X)- 0.01uF/50 VDC
Diodes: (2 X)- Germanium 1N34A type

Tap Points:
D33 next to TP2 (2005/6)
TP5 (2004)
