Signal loss

Hello all,

Got something to throw at ya. I've got a Diamond d130j discone. I've had it mounted to the eve of my garage for quiet sometime. Did a good job there. I decided to move it to the roof of the garage and get a little more height . Did that. It worked fine. So I thought I'd add another 4' pole to it, to get it higher. And guess what, signal went terrible. Even static on local traffic. Now I'm going to have to climb back up and lower it I suppose. Any thoughts, Ideas? Thanks

Did you add coax each time? was the original coax long enough for these moves? Did you double check each connection with every move? Did the coax get "pulled" one time during the last move? How long and what kind of coax?

Well, after checking, the coax got pulled out at the antenna. duh! I reconnected it and problem solved. Although I need to reconnect it properly.

I am using LMR 400 coax.
