Sebestian County is now on AWIN. Check the County listing.

All Of Ft Smith and the Surrounding County are like Craighead County, 100% digital AWIN, See the AWIN link on the database for more info..You'll find it in the bottom under Sebastian County..

thanks...my icom has out lived its usefulness...any suggestions for new equipment...around $200...handheld

Around $200, That depends on if you want to monitor fort smith and sebastian county along with AWIN or not.. If Not, You can get one for around $100, If So, You will not find a digital scanner for anything less than $400 and that's used, $500 new.. Period.... Someone else might know but from what I've saw and heard, There's not any out there less than $500..and that IS for a handheld...about $600 for base/mobile

They are expensive, but if you amortize the frequencies/talkgroups, etc., the digital trunking scanners are about $0.25 to $0.50 per channel/talkgroup.

Pretty inexpensive, especially when compared to the earlier crystal channel scanners.
