What scanner are you using? The database says Florence uses P25, so it will require a P25 scanner.

I'm using a yaesu ft250 and a unidine bearcat triple trunk. I know those are not project 25. I don't understand why that would be a prject 25. I pick up the prisons and everything else. The data base says its not a project 25 are you sure your looking at Florence az? Cause no one else including the sheriff is project 25

Click here and scroll down to Florence.... The fire and police dispatch frequencies are listed as P25:

They're miniature radio receivers that in conjunction with software on your PC let you listen to conventional and trunked systems, both analog and non-encrypted digital voice.

Supported digital modes include D-Star and Fusion (used on the ham bands), NDXN (iDAS and NEXEDGE variants, used for commercial traffic and some PDs), DMR (used for ham, many commercial comms and some PDs), P25 (some ham use, lots of PS use), ProVoice, TETRA, LTR, MPT-1327, Passport, and so on.

Other uses include pager decoding, flight tracking, ship plotting, train tracking, decoding ham data modes (Baudot, etc.), slow scan TV, and dozens or hundreds of other things.

The good inexpensive dongles:
