I am pre-programming Uniden's new scanner. I was pulling up SDC on Taney but why is it also in Stone? does the county like go down the middle? Also I see they have EMS for SDC in Stone County group

If you go to Branson your best bet it to program freqs for both Southern Stone County and Western Taney Co. Silver Dollar City does lay right near the border of the two counties. I remember some years ago programming a scanner for a week long trip to the area and used what I thought was Taney and Stone Co freqs. But the area FD's used Southern and Western in their names so I did not have a lot of the freqs I needed. So after three days of a lot of silence I put the scanner in the search mode and within two minutes had two new usable freqs. Yes it was some years ago and some of you old timers have probably figured it out. I was using the old Police Call book from Radio Shack. If my memory is still partially intact SDC Security was on 151.130 or 155.130. Good luck. Lot's of stuff to listen to down there.

Yeah I like to go down every summer. I was setting up my favorites list and this new scanner software. I'll see if I stay a week down there and see if I find anything new.

Also the ham repeaters down there seam pretty dead last time I was there.
