SIM Card APN & PTTOC Network Radio

Hi everyone. Curious to know what equipment at the server end looks for the subscribers sim /APN? And in a pttoc set up, is the Sim card IOT data only? What sim attribute is needed to ensure when other Sim cards are purchased that they will work with the existing Sims you have as far as all radios hearing each other
