Does the BCD536HP handle P25 simulcast distortion much better than the HP-1? In other words, concerning simulcast distortion ONLY, is it worth spending big bucks on a 536 if one already has an HP-1?
I don't know how the HP-1 does, but I got the 536 last week and love it. It works great on the Simulcast system in Butler County Kansas. Very clear and great reception. I sold a 996 to get the 536 and definitely notice a difference.
The 536 for me is receiving significantly better then the HP-1 on the MARCS-IP Simulcast Systems as well as the Greater Cleveland System. -almost perfect.
I am unable to decode these Cuyahoga Co systems at all with the HP-1 (from the northern Aurora border).
I am glad I made the purchase and will probably sell my HP-1.
