I'm using a RS 197 in a good simulcast area on a P25 System , since the leaves have dropped from the tree's dropouts have increased some. I changed from my outside antenna to a rubber duck and it helped a lot but has anyone adjusted any of the settings in the "F+Glob" settings to improve the situation. GRE in the old days put out a explanation of all the settings which I still have but not sure which ones would help if any,.....TY

you might try attenuation as that cuts the incoming signal by 20db or to 1/100th.
and do the rabbit ear antenna dance of years ago.
up, down, sideways (yes, that makes it directional) and then move it around.
i used a uniden 325 and eventually got a SDS100 for the real fix.

My 436HP sports a similar antenna (Comet Miracle Baby). It works in certain simulcast areas but not others where the cell clusters are more "tightly packed"
