Am using some rarely used older scanners from the vault again, a BC760XLT and a BC200XLT. So far I haven't found the instruction books for either and did not see them listed on the Uniden site. The mods.dk site has the manuals listed for both scanners in PDF and zip formats, but gives a message about bandwidth issues and will not allow a DL of same.

Function and operation with both scanners is routine except for one minor snag:

How do you get a single channel with a useless freq programmed in it to reset to 000.000?

Found info on how to reset all channels, but not individual channels.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Resetting channels to 0.0

I don't think there is a way on many older Uniden scanners. What I always did was program 33.33 into the channel since 0.0 [enter] wouldn't work. This works fine as long as you don't listen to low band and think it is a real frequency.

I program the frequency for my local fire department dispatch, that way the scanner has more chances of stopping on the frequency and I have less chances of missing a call. Kind of like a priority but without the priority.

you could always reset! hold 2 9 manual while turning on.

of course, if you have 200 channels programmed, i probably wouldnt do it!
