I'll second that. I use one of these in conjunction with the speaker mike for my work radio, and it's far more comfortable when you have to wear it for several hours at an emergency scene. Works great for the scanners too.
I have been ordering from Crane for many years now.
When I was using my PSR 500, I used the ones you used to find at the truck stop; however, I returned to Crane to get the earphone because the one listed is stereo. I cannot recall if stereo works in a scanner with mono.
