If you have a Chromecast, or a Chromecast capable TV, this is cake to setup. Don't know why I didn't think of it earlier. Audio sounds great too.

Which cost more? The scanner or the TV?

:p

I'd say ask the wife but I don't know where she went. She said something about another scanner or her? I don't know. I can't remember. The 536 is an awesome. I just got it yesterday.

Thanks for the tip! Like you, not sure why I didn't do this before either. Here's mine up on a 60"inch Vizio using Apple TV. Sound is excellent as you noted.

I just did mine today ... after seeing this thread.

So .. to make it work.

- Assigned an ip via my router to the 536HP
- Connected Wifi dongle to 536HP and setup WiFi on the 536, SSID and Pwd using
infrastructure mode.
- Installed Siren app on my iPad
- Using Apple TV, and Air Play to screen mirror to my big screen.

The audio is bit lower than I would like .. but it works nicely.

If you're running the Siren app on your Android deice you'll need the following to cast the app to your TV.

1. A Chromecast dongle or a smart TV with the Chromecast feature.

2. The Google Home app installed on your Android device. It's available for free in the PlayStore.

Open the Google Home app. Tap the menu icon (hamburger button) next to Home. Select Cast Screen / Audio. Tap the Cast Screen / Audio button. Select your Chromecast device. You should now see the screen of your Android device displayed on your TV. Launch the Siren app.

Dude, you get this week's Brainstorm award! This is feed from a yard-sale Sprint AQT80 tablet into a 40" Samsung Smart TV using Google Home and Chromecast. Excellent audio levels as well.

(Of course, She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed was not impressed.)

If you have a Samsung phone and Samsung smart TV you can just mirror the screen nothing else required.
