I've own several different antennas manufactured by Sirio but not that particular one. I can say this, all of the Siro antennas I've had have been made with quality materials and exceptional build quality. They all performed well and should last for decades.
I agree. Never purchased one, but received a Sirio 5/8th's wave VHF antenna as part of the Marine Traffic AIS receiver package. It's been up on top of a building for 7-8 years now and has been a good antenna. I probably wouldn't hesitate to buy one if I needed an inexpensive antenna.
If you go with the discone, go with the N connector version. The N connectors have a bit better performance than the UHF connectors.
I also agree, I have 3 sirio antennas. The design and quality of their yagi antennas are excellent. Customer service are great. I bough some spare parts to be able to extend a yagi with more elements and where no problem. If there discone have the same build quality then you will have no problem with it.
It looks like a standard design discone, similar to a D130 etc. While the website says it is made in Italy, I wonder if the parts are sourced from the same factories Diamond, Comet, Tram etc. use to assemble their products.

They actually machine their antenna parts in a big facility. I'll try to find the video. They have a design and testing lab as well. I'd say maybe it's the other way around. Maybe Sirio makes them for ICOM.
