What’s up Buffs………First off I want to thank everyone who commented on my thread about what the best low band 42-50mhz antenna for receiving around the 46mhz range. I decided a Sirio Tornado would be the best option, they have a 42-50 model. My question is, I can only find it on one website, buyantenna.com. Is this a trustable antenna distributor, the link is below…..73……

There is an eBay seller that goes by DJ Electronics Products and other names in Fremont, CA. If its the same dealer they are a major Sirio distributor and reliable.
Yea i’ve seen his account. He doesn’t have it right now unfortunatley

The 42-50 model isn’t listed on Amazon. I can’t find it anywhere. If you’ve seen it, may I ask for a link?
sorry 40-70. Just bought that for 6 meters. It covers your range albeit a little wider in freq range

is see that, looks a little smaller than the tornado which is good. does it need to be tuned directly to 46 mhz or will it recieve it good as long as it’s about 20-25-30 ft up? my frequency i use is 46.10 for listening.

The 40-70MHz job is a simple 1/4 wave ground plane where the Tornado is a 5/8 wave with a little gain. Both of them will need tuning to 46MHz and should work over a couple of MHz around that ok.
