Last week, MSP Trooper 5 went to Ruby, but I heard zero communications between MSP and WVU MedCom. Nothing on SIRN, nothing on the med-channels, etc. Any clue what they might be using instead?

Ok Protocol is If I remember right if a Trooper is making a pick up and going to Baltimore Shock Trauma they might use the 700 Air2 Ground to talk to MD Syscom on 7AG60 and Shock trauma on thru a patch that syscom will do on 7AG67. You can find the 700 Air 2 Ground info in the latest NIFOG publications version 2. MD Troopers started to use the US 700 Air 2 Ground channels a while back and also you can find all the med patch talk groups EMRC uses on the MD 1st System.
Here is the link to the latest NIFOG information as well. https://www.cisa.gov/sites/default/files/publications/NIFOG_Ver_2.0_508_version_FINAL_9_23_2021.pdf

Now if a Trooper 5 is going to Pittsburgh not sure what frequency they will use and if Trooper 7 makes a run down to Norfolk VA area Trauma center from Southern MD not sure if they will use one of the NIFOG frequencies or a TG or frequency that hospital is on in that county where ever it goes. If they remain in range of SYSCOM which is on the MD 1st system they could go thru a med patch that way as well.

WVU has 155.340/155.400 capability. And i suspect MSP trooper helos also has VHF capabilities.

Yes the MD Troopes do have VHF low and High, airband , UHF and 700/800 with P25 since they do also fly into Delaware , PA,WVA, ,DC, and VA so the troopers are very well equipped when it comes to having coms onboard.

Anyone down in the Belleville WV / Reedsville OH area -- ya know, in Wood Co WV? @firemantom26 discovered that the Belleville site ( 1.55 ) is online with CC of 454.0125. This is based upon reports from peer site Rockport.

Site 1.55 Belleville (Wood Co)
454.0125 CC

If you are down in the Belleville area and can run Pro96Com / Unitrunker / DSDPlus on 454.0125, please do so and gather all of the vital information for the Belleville site and post/submit it. Looks to be using Lauttamus-provided 454 mhz freqs.

FYI -- would not surprise me if the Belleville site is actually across the river in Reedsville. I say that because it's likely the only reason the Belleville site exists is to cover the river, and that's likely better covered from across the river in Reedsville. But hey, who knows. Pure speculation.

Thanks

Mike

Good to be back. I appreciate your posting of the meeting minutes for the SIRN. Looking forward to the Hinton site as I have a river camp in Summers County. Everything in the county is currently analog no digital even though there is a site in Alderson in Greenbrier County.

FYI doing a little searching on 450 and noted that the McComas site which is near Princeton does not show 2.46 as a neighbor but I did
verify Kopperston, Beckley and Flat Top does show 2.46 as a neighbor.

Just a couple of sites that I know of Belleville and Princeton need to be confirmed. I just can't confirm them at my remote location with my 700/800 yagi.

Would it be possible that they put it on the same tower as MARCS Site 3.56? It's just west of Reedsville, and one of 2-3 towers in the whole area per Antenna Search
