This one's been working for a couple of hours today in 100 + degree heat. Six alarms so far...

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, this is their largest response in their history. Here's hoping no more personnel get injured or worse.

I have two scanners dedicated to it and there's little radio traffic on VHF channel A-9, A-3 [command was using it as a talk frequency], and all of K deck [700/800 MHz].

Try this BC channel: Phoenix Metro Area Fire Live Audio Feed [It may not have the primary fireground channel in the feed]

With the VHF-High fireground channels being simplex, you have to be within a few miles of an incident to hear anything other than the alarm room when they communicate with command. I'm watching the encrypted patched talkgroup on the RWC, and it is quite active, while the VHF-High channel is silent here. (Being encrypted, you can't actually listen to it.)

A-3 is probably staging.
