If only Uncle Dave Thornton would let us have one of their radios!

Nice work on figuring it out. Have only been there once (especially after I saw ticket prices).

I usually get the references. Don't get the one about Dave.

You don't need to go in to listen to the radio. :)

I know. I actually had to look up the name as well.

He was the owner of the amusement park in Beverly Hills Cop III.

That would be Paramounts Great America :)
That was where is was filmed anyhow.

Took a second visit out to Marine World yesterday. I scouted around the perimeter of the park and found a park on the other side of the lagoon. It provides pretty decent view and elevation from the park and best all, it's free!

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=...58,-122.241096&spn=0.007747,0.019891&t=h&om=1

I wanted to see if I could fill in missing information. The table above is my latest update. As before, all of the tones are 265. I managed to pick up several more channel numbers. I also figured out that my understanding of the 'Food Ops' channel was wrong. It wasn't a repeater, but simply two simplex channels. The 'repeater out' was for Ops and the 'repeater in' for chat.

None of the missing repeater splits from the licensed frequencies were active. None of the other frequencies from Kelty's old Industrial Radio Systems were active.

I'm still unable to ID 452.075. I am guessing it is either something to do with park ops or with the animal side of the park. Of all of the identified frequencies, it is one of the least used. I heard two types of tranmissions. One was something to do about when an animal was born (hence the guess about the animal side of the house).

The other transmission I heard on 452.075 was the hourly park capacity announcement. I was also heard on the tram, ride ops and security channels. They call out a 10-50 and a 10-51 count. The 10-50 is the number of people through the gates for the day and the other number is the number of folks in the park at the time of the call. I was surprised that during a summer day, there were only ~5k people in the park. It doesn't sound very crowded...
