I have a old 1.5 meter TVRO dish that I am thinking of repurposing for Inmarsat.
Is there a minimum mesh size required for 1.5 Ghz? I realize a solid dish would be better but it's not a perfect world. :)
Thanks.

Is it an option to coat the mesh?
I understand that the gap should be less than 1/4 the wavelength. So at 1.5 Ghz that would be around 5cm or less.
1.5m is a good sized dish, I use a 90cm dish with a 4 turn LHCP helix feed for my L-band AERO and STDC 98w 4F3 station. I would loves something your size (but solid), but the HOA would not be so excited.
