Skiatook & Cville going 800?

I heard from a little birdie today that both Skiatook & Collinsville were approached by Motorola & Owasso about possibly joining the Owasso TRS. Haven't heard anything official, and it will pretty much depend on how much DHS money will be available.

I can see Collinsville, but not Skiatook. Unless a tower(s) were erected on ridge west of town for coverage.

But if they were to do that .. why Owasso? They could tie into the OK DPS system instead ..

I agree, I recently moved into the city limits here (Skiatook) and can recieve the Owasso TRS loud and clear on my UBC using the RS 800mhz antenna.

FWIW, I'd rather see both Skiatook & Collinsville goto the State system, but I'll take 800 anyway it comes

the current schedual with /\/\ puts Skiatook and Collinsville on the Owasso TRS in 2008.

Sounds good, I hope at least you guys upgrade to a repeater until the 800 switch happens.
