Skipping and unintelligible audio :-(

Been monitoring Valdosta GA area for several years now. Whether listening on my laptop or iphone app (tunein radio) it seems that it is often garbled or skips.

I have a high speed wifi connection so this shouldn't be a problem. Same thing often happens on 4G.

Where could this be coming from?

It has nothing to do at all with your internet or phone. It is happening at the scanner that is being used for the feed.
The system is simulcast. There are currently no scanners that decode simulcast without the garbled and missed calls. The signals are bouncing between towers and are out of snyc.
So, it's not your fault. It's inherent in the type of system.
