These Helicopters are being used for wildland firefighting operations by the government not by a commercial entity.

The Sky Cranes are under contract to USFS but operated by a private contractor.

Raleighguy's post in the thread was pointing to commercial operator frequencies which does not apply here to the actual purpose of these helicopters.

The Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) may have the coordinating frequency listed. For example, this frequency was listed - FREQ 126.05/OAK FIRE IS IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION for this TFR - tfrweb.

N3811C@BJC_7-12-25.jpgN163AC@BJC_7-12-24-BB.jpgThe helo on the left is one of Colorado's Firehawk fire fighting choppers built at Centennial Airport. The helo on the right is a S-53 Skycrane chopper set up for fire fighting. The Firehawk and a Huey chopper are based in the hanger next to the tanker base. It's been kind of lonely at the tanker base this summer with the change.
