Skywarn class Gastonia NC Saturday June 7

Don't worry folks, I do know the difference between NC and SC, but there are likely a few members who live close enough to Gaston County that might want to take the trip up for a class....



On Saturday June 7, 2008. the Gaston County ARES will be sponsoring a Basic Skywarn class held at the Gaston County Police Department at 10:00am. This will be a great refresher for those who have has the class before and it is strongly encouraged for those who have not had the class. We do get our share of severe weather in the area and this class is very helpful in dealing with Skywarn and weather reporting.

Thanks for the link, I talk with Joe quite often and was really glad to hear how that class did. I also heard one of the "older" Ladies who had got her ticket on a local repeater, so there are really no age limits for a first timer.
