I'm thinking SKYWARN has some affiliation with the National Weather Service. How can I find out more information as to frequencies and paging information (if available) in my area?

Thanks,
Tim

The DC area's main repeater for Skywarn is actually in Bluemont Va., and they have an excellant website at:

147.3 Bluemont rptr

Indeed Skywarn has a direct connectioin to the NWS; reports passed from Skywarn are gathered and delivered to NWS Sterling using this repeater. There are numerous other repeaters that are affiliated with this operation, and you can find a list of them on that site.

Looking over that list, I see 4 2 meter repeaters in your neck of the woods; one of which is owned by the Montgomery Amateur Radio club

That should get you started. 73s and GL...Mike
