Seems that SKYWARN is very active in VA and Southern MD from several websites....anyone know if the Baltimore area is actively covered by a repeater for SKYWARN....and if so, what freq is best?

I can't give you the best as Baltimore is a little far from me.

In the past, the Baltimore Radio Amateur TV Society and I think the Anne Arundel Radio Club have supported Skywarn when it was activated. I don't think the other Baltimore area clubs have been involved, but I could easily be wrong about that. You can find repeater and frequency information here:

Just a FYI - the 'Baltimore Area Net' listing is actually run by the Baltimore Radio Amateur TV Society, which has multiple receive sites all through Baltimore county. There is no PL on their repeaters.

The Anne Arundel Radio Club uses a standard PL - I believe it's 107.2 - on their repeaters.
