SLATER/MOSWIN on a Unication G5

Hi,

Wondering if anyone in the metro area uses a G5 for SLATER or MOSWIN monitoring. I have an aunt that lives in Maryland Heights that I go down and see every now and again. I was just looking at the database and that shows the majority of the law stuff being encrypted. But I enjoy listining to fire just as much if not more. Infact in the analog days I had more fire stuff in my radio than law. Is this true that there is a ton of fire stuff on SLATER. Also does the NWS in ST Louis opperate on the system or not?

There is a lot of fire and EMS to monitor on SLATER. St. Louis Co, Jeff Co and St Charles Co all have fire and EMS. MOSWIN, in the metro area, is almost all MSHP with some Point to Point radio traffic. The NWS uses some HAM freqs during bad weather and I believe some private freqs.

Works great for SLATER, stl city side of MOSWIN and STARCOM (IL). Vhf moswin isn’t terrible but you won’t get great performance since the G5 vhf antenna is internal.
