Setting the correct TYPE in Win97

Since December 2008, I've been participating in forums about trunked radio scanning.
Certain terminology is commonly used: Talk Group (TG), Talk Group I.D. (TGID), and GRE added some new ones: TGRP (Talk Group) and Trunked System (TSYS).

In all cases, when TGs or TGRPs are discussed, the TGID is always in DEC. The majority of scanners all show the TGIDs in DEC, so you can rest assured that we will know what you are talking about. You don't need to say the DEC number for this or that.

When Win97 is used to program trunked TGIDs for a Motorola TSYS, you must have MOT selected in the TYPE box before you input a MOT TGID.
See the screen shot of Win 97. I changed Type from MOT to Conv and tried to input a TGID. It gave me the same error that you described.
