SLED/DNR CHANGEOVER

Whats the latest on VHF changes. Is SLED switching to DPL from PL? And where did the game warden go???

I've noted DNR comms on the Greenville, Greenwood and Cassett sites this morning (Thursday).

I have not logged any traffic on the SLED main channel yesterday or today.

(Yesterday morning, the Little Mountain repeater was active, but not with DNR comms ... Va State Police / Fairfax dispatch was being broadcast by the repeater.

Enhancement is moderate this morning. Chester County Fire is being rebroadcast over the Berkeley Co Fire "North" channel, and Columbus Co, NC Rescue is being rebroadcast by the repeater shared by Kershaw Co Sheriffs / Buffalo - Mount Pisgah Rescue.)

I picked up traffic on 154.665/DPL 413 Thursday afternoon. I presume it was from the Paris Mtn site, it was the typical phone-patch noise that I've heard before. No voice.

Looks like SLED/DNR ops are normal. The usual YakYak on DNR has been quiet but a few normal comms heard. SLED Ch-2 VHF Simplex in operation today in Simpsonville as 5, thats right, 5 agents, names being withheld, had surveillance of female going to Wal*Mart and Dollar General. I had to close office at 5m and missed the rest of it. Between the gypsys and SLED Simpsonville has become a busy place. Larry
