Can anyone provide me the frequencies primarily used by Sleepy Hollow FD and Ambulance Corps? I’m interested in monitoring paging, operations and fireground radio traffic. I’m not too familiar with Westchester County. The database shows 155.775 (411) and 481.6125 (411) as a crossband. Can anyone confirm what that UHF frequency crossbands to? Thank you in advance for any information.

Those two frequencies are what you need. The UHF crossband traffic is identical to the VHF one so you can pick one that has better reception for you. 60 Control dispatches Sleepy Hollow so you will hear the tone-out and call outs.

Fireground traffic is on the countywide UHF simplex so you have to be very close to hear it.

Thank you for your response. Is 463.2875 (306) correct for the Mount Pleasant Paramedics that cover Sleepy Hollow? Or would they be on 151.535 (156.7) ?

I hear Mount Pleasant Medics on 155.8800 PL 162.2. I can't say I hear them enough to confirm if they only support ALS calls in Sleepy Hollow. Otherwise 73B1 and 73B2 (Sleepy Hollow BLS Paramedics) are be on 155.775 or 481.6125

I haven't logged 463.2875 for Sleepy Hollow or Mount Pleasant activities

I’ll program that in. Thank you again for your help.

Sleppy Holow EMS I believe is only dispatched by 60 Control while the Medics are duly dispatched by Mount Pleasant PD and 60 Control.

Sleppy Holow EMS dispatch is 155.775 DPL 441. Additionally, dispatch only can be heard on the new North 2 Paging frequency, 477.025 PL 156.7. Then after the dispatch on either of these frequencies, operations are moved to the Fire/EMS 12 TG on the Westchester P25 Trunked system. Sleppy Holow EMS (SHVAC) has 3 BLS Ambulances, staffed by EMTs, not paramedics. 73B1, 73B2 and 73B3.

The Mount Pleasant Medics (37 Medics) as a whole are duly dispatched by Mount Pleasant PD and 60 Control, as they do serve other districts besides Sleppy Hollow. The medics can be heard on the Mount Pleasant EMS frequency 155.88 PL162.2 when dispatched by MPPD. Additionally, 60 Control dispatches them. Dispatch only can be heard on the new North 2 Paging frequency, 477.025 PL 156.7. Then if the medic need to communicate with 60 they will do so on the Fire/EMS 12 talkgroup on the Westchester P25 Trunked system. Either or they are equipped with both radios so they can easily communicate to the proper dispatch agency. Mount Pleasant Medics provide ALS service and ride in flycars, there are 2 or 3. 37M1, 37M2 and 37M3

Typically when there is a EMS call in the village, an ambulance, and a medic will respond depending on the nature of the call. To monitor the whole covo I would suggest listening to 155.775 and Fire/EMS 12 on the trunked system.

So, I haven't actually heard any traffic from 463.2875 so I don't know what WEMS does with that channel. 155.535 is for the 45 Medics in Northern Westchester, and some other agencies.

Westchester EMS aka WEMS is an EMS agency providing emergency and non-emergency ambulance and paramedic fly-car services throughout Westchester County. You can read more about their services here.

buff60, when 37Mx units are being dispatched by 60-Control over North 2 Paging, is it simulcast over 155.8800 (162.2)? Or, in order to catch all pages for them, I would have to monitor both frequencies?

Similar question for dispatches of SHVAC. Do I need to monitor both North 2 Paging and 155.7750 (D411) to catch everything, or can I monitor one or the other?

So when 60 control dispatches them you will only hear them over the North 2 paging frequency. 155.88 is used only by Mount Pleasant PD. So no North Paging 2 isn't simulcasted over 155.88.

In order to catch all dispatches for the medics yes, I monitor both frequencies but more times than not I find that both agencies 60 and MPPD) get the call out. So technically the medic is notified twice, on 2 separate frequencies, by 2 different agencies. Sometimes one agency will be faster than the other and the medic will just acknowledge the call and respond before the other dispatch agency tones.
It's not a perfect system in my opinion but it seems to be working for them and other Westchester agencies.

For SHVAC you can monitor one or the other as the dispatch will be simulcasted. Altho, If you only want to hear Sleepy Hollow tones and nothing else, stick with 155.775, as you will hear other agencies' tones on Paging North 2.

Exactly, and Sleepy Hollow is not the only one with a setup Like this. There are other agencies that are the same or even 2x worse when it comes to dispatching and who is on what Talkgroup/Frequency and who dispatches them.

Almost 1.5 years of the A66 system being in service and countless Fire/EMS agencies who don't use it primarily or at all, or even moved off it. Also, Talkgroups are dedicated entirely to one agency that never uses it. Yes, there are some technical and financial things I'm not taking into consideration but from an outsider-looking-in standpoint, Westchester still uses literally the entire low band VHF, VHF, UHF, and 700/800 spectrum, and to monitor the entire conversation you have to program multiple things.

Sorry mini rant over.

What a joke. I’ve always laughed at how much of a mess westchester is. Very similar to Bergen county.
