Has anyone found a way to monitor it. Why are frequencys listed if no scanner will work on the EDS encryption, Does anyone know if the scanner mfgs. are working on a scanner model compatable with code entry to enable talk groups within SLERS.

There won't be any. The control channel is encrypted and would be a Federal violation to decrypt it.

As to why the freqs are listed, there is an FCC license attached to it.

Laws are made to be broken. I miss listening to FHP and FFWCC, It is a shame that someone does'nt have the DES encryption fix.
Just for info CCW permits will be valid on state WMA as of 7/1/06. THANKS FFWCC!

even if a scanner manufacturer put in DES capability, how in the heck to plan on getting the key??

lets not even get started on ESK...

you would see a ProVoice scanner LONG before even one that handled DVP or DES, much less anything else. in other words.. NEVER.

If you wanted to listen bad enough, you could go get a ProVoice radio, with des and edacs, a copy of ProGrammer and sit and guess the keys.. not to mention talkgroups. again, unless you are EXTREMELY lucky.. not gonna happen.
