Slightly off topic - hi-capacity AA rechargeables

Does anyone have a reccomendation/source for high capacity rechargeble AA's? I'm looking for the longest lasting batteries for my 396.

That topic is a frequent one in the 396 Yahoo group, and even in our Uniden forum (hint hint) - and our wiki has a partial list of suppliers...

I just went to the Thomas Distributing website and they're advertising 2900mah Denkin (never heard of the brand...) AAs. I know on the 396 Yahoo group I see many using 2500mah Energizers or 2400mah Sanyos, but no doubt there are better out there.

I've GOTTA clear some bills - I need to get a couple of sets myself
