It could be the cold solder joint issue well publicized on this forum.

My sds 100 got damaged I belive its not picking up channels how do I know if ots my sma connector on scanner
My unit suddenly went deaf, have discovered the centre (Aussie spelling) receptacle in SMA socket on (U)SDS100 has pushed down thus not making contact with pin in aerial. Have temporarily solved by using SMA to SMA or SMA to BNC adaptor, which must go deeper with centre pin.
Just a thought.

Be careful when using connectors with larger than standard pins. Those can depress the center pin of the antenna jack or spread the fingers to the point standard connectors become intermittent.
