Good grief, isn't that the same price of the larger battery plus the charger they're asking for the small battery and cover? I'm still waiting for the option to just buy the larger battery without the charger. I don't think that's become available yet, has it?

letarotor, here ya go...

Thank you! I had been looking for the larger battery and had not come across this. And I like the price a lot better than the ScannerMaster smaller battery :)

Why would someone want the smaller battery? Don't you want more time scanning away form your chargers. I know I do. Thats why I bought the SDS with the bigger battery installed.

I used to use mine in the car with GPS. I also kept it plugged into power. The smaller profile would have made it easier to manage and/or mount in the car. It's not a problem now because I use the SDS200 in the car.

The RAM finger grip mount holds the fat battery SDS100 just fine.

Jon, I was looking for a good, sturdy stand / grip to sit on my coffee table and use with my SDS100. I bought one of the Cup Call stands that has a heavy base and allows the rotation left to right and upwards and downwards of the grip section that holds the radio. It works pretty well but it barely grabs my radio and I have it in one of the medium leather cases I believe sold by ScannerMaster. I'm not even sure if it's not grabbing the back of the case instead of the radio itself? I don't see very well and I'm trying to determine which one of the RAM stands might be a good one for that purpose using it on a coffee table. Do you have any recommendations? And thanks for any help if you can provide it.
