Small towns in Sedgwick County

OK folks, I found my old list and decided that the list just shouldnt be thrown away because, well... I think they still are in use.

Lets start it off and lets see if we can fill in the blanks.

Andale - No info
Anness - No Info
Baynville - No Info

Bell Aire - Yes they are trunked but Last known FCC lic is KNIL657 showing this conventional freqs of: 453.525 - 458.525

Bently - No info - Do they even have a sheriff office?

Cheney - They to are trunked but it seem like every one uses the TG from Cops to water meter readers.
Last known FCC lic is WPGJ977 showing this conventional freqs of: 458.475 - 453.475

Colwich - No info as of yet. They do have a talk group and a Local PD. there PD truck, Has quite the antenna array on board. So I can safley assume they have there own repeater system as well.

Clonmell - No Info - I bet there patroled by SEDG SO- Ive lived hear all my life and never knew they existed.

Clearwater - Again TRUNKED but the freqs i have are:
460.425 - 465.425

Derby - Trunked- Old FCC listing is: WNBB978 - 153.86 - 155.745

East Borough - TRUNKED

Furley - No info

Goddard - PD Is trunked, FCC listing is WPKZ588 - 453.8875 - 458.8875(RESERV SO FREQS?)
Aslo in my old book i have these listed:155.55, 453.525, 153.89 ( i have no idea what they are )

Haysville - Trunked - But i think they still have the FCC lic for:
PD 465.025 - 460.025
fire 453.1 - 458.1

KECHI - trunked - fcc listing og : WPEV977 451.0625 - ?????????
460.125 - 465.125 I THINK THIS IS PD...
Kechi township is KNFC514 - 156.18
(This is a mess)

Bell Aire=Police dept but is near a City and County Fire Dept.
Bently = ?
Cheney=Voluntere Fire and SO and Police
Colwich= Voluntere Fire, Police Dept and SO
Clonmel=?
Derby=YES
Furley=?
Goddard= Yes fire PD and SO
Hayesville=PD and SO not sure about fire
Kechi= Police and So
Maize=Police SO and Sedg Co Fire
Mt.Hope= has a volunter FD and 2 Police
Mulvane = Police Fire and Sedgwick and Sumner County SO checking on them
Park City=Police and SO + County Fire
Sedgwick=Police SO an im not sure about fire

Well, Since you been gone they have expanded. They now sit onthe Harvey county and Sedgwick county border like Mulvane does with Sumner Co and Sedgwick.

Andover is getting that way as well

Im getting the list together but im having a hard time finding Andale and Colwich.

I did find Rose hill Fire and PD....And there loud and clear,
Fast2okc....You forgot about Rose hill !

I had been under the impression everyone had gone to the S/G Trunk System.

To be honest I dont know who is using them. Somebody is and the last time I looked, those freqs was regestered to those agencies. Remember this is from my old list.

Now, It could be that Sedgwick and the Towns with in them could have relocated use of the radios and freqs to another part of there group or department. I dont know! What was the PD freqs yesterday maybe the dog cathers now.

I've printed the list and Im going thru it and looking it up on the FCC Database.

sidenote:
I was in Municiple court Thursday for my speeding ticket ( Im still fighting that BS ) and noticed that the Court Security is using NEXTEL 2 way radio phones. Does anyone know if the group is a contracted private security ordid municiple court just add a security group to there department?

I ask this because theres a Talk Group on the current trunking system for the DA, and I very seldom hear any activity on it.

Yeah me to, But you know as well as I do, with any government agency, there usually not enough mayo to spread around to make a good sandwich!

It took my department was almost 10 years to get the funds for our radios. I would imagine theres a lot smaller towns that are trying to decide weather to add a cop or upgrade there radio system.

Heres a good example: Valley Center has a TG on the SG Mot Sys and yet they still use there old system. Why?

Park City has a TG and uses it for everything and droped there old system. ( Just think you may have listen to D.Rader and didnt know it)

Derby and Haysville have 3 or more TG and still have the there old sytem regestered and updated on the FCC Database. Why?

I do know that my department pays in each quarter for the use of the system and I would bet some of these smaller towns just dont have the money for it.

1 more thought on small town financial whoas, then I'll get off my soap box, in Colwich the town sheriff has a super nice Ford Excursion with a mild 1 inch Lift kit and 33" tires and a HAARP antenna array on his truck. (if you dont know what HAARP is, Ill explain later)

Do you think he paid for that?

Currently working on a Homeland Security Grant. It is the only cop money around now days. Describing the advantage of the quickness of the Jaguar for Haz Mat response.

Will be awhile before I get back to Wichita, but will load your new infromation and do see if I can hear any traffic.

I would have to say 525


BTY... Valley Center is good... Police is using the older freqs.
Kechi is good as well. They too are using the older freqs.(police)
