Anybody have any experience with monitoring the SMART Train in Sonoma-Marin- I have the NXDN upgrade but still not hearing anything.

Thanks

Yes, most activity I can receive near Sebastopol is on the Maintenance of Way Sonoma Mtn and Mainline 1 channels from both Sonoma mtn and geyser peak. Make sure your service type for ‘transportation’ is enabled, assuming you are using an SDS 100 or 200 scanner.

They are active but not super talkative except at certain points during the day. It's not like your old-school railroading where everything is done via radio. For the Windsor/Santa Rosa area I would put in Geyser Peak, Sonoma Mountain, AND Big Rock. Main1 is for S.M.A.R.T. themselves and Main2 is for the freight side right now. MoW is for Maintenance, obviously. "Security" isn't much used as the officers stay on Main1.

We still need RANs for the Operations frequencies (I'm assuming 14, 24, 34, 44, 54 based on the pattern so far) as well as the direct frequencies.
