SmartNet, Unitrunker and Status Bits

I was just noticing some info on Motorola SmartNet Type II trunked systems, there was mention of "status bits" which can be used for tagging traffic. In the Wiki, it mentioned that the trunking radios know what to do with these status bits but trunk tracking scanners may see it as a different talkgroup, such as a fire dispatch channel of 1616 may appear to be 1623 if dispatcher uses multi-select. My question is whether Unitrunker knows how to interpret these status bits or if they too would think it was traffic on talkgroup 1623?

The term "status bits" is a misnomer. Call type would be more accurate. You can see the call type in the "Svc" column on the right hand of the call activity panel.

For a talkgroup of 1616 (using traditional scanner notation), the program displays this talk group according to your display options on the Options tab.

1616 (to coincide with most scanners)
 650 (if you prefer to see your IDs in hexadecimal)
 101 (Motorola Modern Decimal)
  65 (Motorola Modern Hexadecimal)

If your Motorola display setting is set to "Decimal" and you see a group ID of 1623, something is very wrong.
