I am using Trunker 3.83 and occasionally see a couple
of I-Caller's (police department) talking in digital mode....
The Motorola Astro system I monitor also uses status and
message encoders (SME) for the fire department (but not for
the police department).
It appears that the radios are doing some type of call alert
or paging to reach another party. When that happens, the
paged party "appears" to be pressing a "status" of 8 in
Trunker.
Any thoughts???
Also -
On a regular basis, I see units appearing to press SME buttons
but those units have unusual radio IDs and never appear to
talk on the system (at least, I've never seen them talk). I've flagged
those units and they appear on a daily basis...
