Let's see...

Metcom has their 'own' simplexes? (New to me if/that they do.)

I thought they used Douglas County's simplexes:

856.2625 FGs 4 & 12
857.2625 FG 8
858.2625 FGs 6 & 14

nope, youre probably right. I had remembered seeing some info on the boards way back which listed the SMFR channel plan, where they were shown as MCTAC's and I just never associated or carried the DC info over.

Metcom actually does have their own one-FG-2

It is a new one since the split with DC

Still trying to find what Freq. it is

DC Simplex

How are they using the two channels on the same frequency?

Are those channels Digital or Analog & are they using seperate PL or NAC's for the two channels?

Thanks

Digital Simplex, no tones.

Only have about a 2-3 mile range, so they could use FG-4 in Parker, while using 12 in castle rock with no interference

On the way to work this early AM, I was listening to a fire alarm call at the Inverness Hotel. Units were assigned to FG-2, which came up as DougCo FG-8 simplex (857.2625). I'll wait for another confirmation, but hopefully this will make it easy for someone else to verify that Metcom FG-2 is the same as DougCo FG-8.

I believe that FG 8 is also FG 10 (857.2625). A confirmation for FG 2 would be nice, but I'm sure captaincraig is right on the ball. I heard through my department that DC Ops 11 is the same thing as Metcom 5 which doesn't seem right at all since they are two different talkgroups according to the database. Maybe what they mean is that those talkgroups get patched or something? This leads me to believe that FG 2 could be DC's FG 8 and/or FG 10.

What are NACs?

Thanks,

LFRfreak

Not sure about NAC's . . .
I am hearing analog voice on DC FG-4 (856.2625) right now. Simplex for sure as the convo is only one-sided. Doesn't sound like FD related chat either - "What's the water quality like down there?"

There are DCS tones of 032 on the FG-4 analog comms. I am hearing them inside my work in Inverness just across the fence on the west of Centennial Airport.
