Hello,

I need a favor from someone in the Washington DC area that can monitor this system and is familar with Trunker. This system is a Passport LTR system that is not on the standard 450 to 470 band. I need someone to use the ltrdump program found here
http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=10074
and log the idle bursts on the system for 10 to 15 minutes. Email me the ltrdump.txt file.

Normally you would need a low-pass slicer for LTR work but a regular one should work for the idle bursts. I am trying to figure out if the frequency band information is sent in the idle bursts. This will help improve the LTRDump and LTRTrunk programs.

Thanks and 73 Eric

Hello,

I was down in Washington DC on a trip and ran LTRDump and LTRTrunk on the system. This is one very active system! It sounded like security for a few museums in Washington are on the system.

Frequencies are as in the database. In addition there is possibly another site that is using 410.9625 MHz, maybe out by Dulles. The frequencies in the database belong to site 101 (decimal).

I did not get a chance to figure out any talkgroups. Talkgroups ran from 101-59872 to 101-60000 with 32 talkgroups logged. Radio IDs ran from 101-00091 to 101-02072.

Eric,

I don't have any of the LTR-analyzer programs, but can comment on a few other things in your message. I think just about every museum in the Smithsonian is using the system. They also used the system for the Folklife Festival this past summer. And yes, there is another PassPort system out by Dulles. This is for the Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum. Hopefully we'll see a PassPort scanner in the future--I'd really like to monitor these systems!
