Had a great time at the CNE air show with my scanner yesterday. Thanks to others who have posted frequencies here and elsewhere. Snowbirds were awesome.

Afterwords we were walking around and I was tuned into TPS, CNE talkgroup. I was near the games at the north end of the midway and heard the G-Force crash and had visual on it a few seconds later. Thanks to my scanner my family was "in the loop" at the moment it happened.

Did the Snowbirds work 272.1 for their air-to-air?

To answer my own question--

The Snowbirds performed at Sherbrooke, Quebec today. Freqs in
use:

126.25 - Sherbrooke airport info. service (ATIS)
123.5 - airport traffic
272.1 - Snowbird air-to-air
116.0 - Snowbird VHF (this is correct, 116.0). Voice confirmed on this
freq. (two, three, four, cinq, six, sept, huit, nine)

My impression based on the comms is the Snowbirds probably use a VHF
discrete as backup to their UHF primary. 116.0 was passed to the other aircraft by Snowbird one on 272.1.

Thought this might be of interest since some trunktrackers are milair capable as well.

I do love Sherbrooke. Nice place, nice people!

Jim, sorry I haven't been back in a while. Yep that looks correct from what I saw in Toronto. I mainly just stuck to 272.1 and it was awesome. It was cool hearing the Air Boss ask the C-130 to do a couple more fly pasts because the SB's were late and then to hear the SB's tell the Airboss their eta when they were 3 minutes out.
