Happening very soon! SERS will be changing all the Fire Talk Groups and adding some as well. Both SNOCOM & SNOPAC.

It's happening now, actually. Final touch of rebanding is underway and as units are touched they're given the new template. Hopefully you'll see something official on the SERS site next week.

Like the note says at the top of the page
"Group IDs are expressed in Motorola 6-digit decimal format. You may need to convert these to a Unitrunker or similar format before entering them into a scanner."

The 6 digit decimal ID's need to be converted before entering in to the scanner.

This page has a Motorola Type II calculator. Just enter in the 6 digit Moto number and it will convert it to the appropriate Talk Group ID used for programming.

There is no such thing as "Unitrunker" format. The program does however, give you the choice of displaying group IDs in any of several formats. For Motorola systems, you can choose - Hex, Decimal, Motorola, and Modern. The *Decimal* format is most commonly used in scanners. The format linked to in the Twitter post is Motorola format (six digits starting with an '8').

The type 2 calculator looks very useful.

When you reply to someone it will be less confusing if you use the "QUOTE" button so we know who/what you are answering.

Well Dick if you where following this thread it would be less confusing. I am not trying to be a smart butt here, but at some point I did state that I would add the new info and I did and was just asking for the folks here to look it over.
