So recently while at the fire station, I saw on the call board Snoqualmie Pass Fire was on a call. But the radio channel listen wasn't a NORCOM TAC channel but rather it was listed as .190. With a simple google search I found the frequency 154.190 listed as the Skykomish and Snoqualmie Pass dispatch frequency. Is this frequency still used and could it be reached by a BCD436HP in the Duvall/Carnation area? Also if they're dispatched on their own frequency, does this mean they use quickcall paging rather than POCSAG pagers?

I doubt you would hear anything from a handheld. Sno Pass and Sky Pass are quite a distance away from you. However you can try. I never heard them from Redmond, and I was up in elevation. But if I remember correctly, ESFR will use 154.190 as a backup if the trunking system goes down. It might not be a bad idea to have that frequency in your scanner if you have an interop or emergency communications FL.

Dang, maybe next time I'm in North Bend or somewhere like that I should tune in. Do they still use that frequency? I saw a KITTCOM document that said they now do dispatching for Snoqualmie Pass.

That would make sense, since the CDP of Snoqualmie Pass is fully within Kittitas County

Not sure what CDP means, but all of Alpental and about half of the businesses at the Summit are in King County.
I am pretty sure the base station for the Summit FD is either at the water tank part way up the hill at the summit ski area, or may now be in the DOT site at Dodge Ridge. So, no way you will hear it in the lower Snoqualmie valley.

News to me that it would ALL be in Kittitas county. I was a deputy with King County for almost 3 decades. We patrolled and responded to stuff on the pass on nearly a daily basis and a lot of it is King County. I still work for KITTCOM doing radio work. So I am INTIMATELY familiar with the summit. Did USFS patrol up there also. Literally drove the areas thousands of times starting in the 1970's. The crest trail is the dividing line for a lot of it. Some of the county line is harder to find.

If you wanna' see just how odd the county lines are up there, get a USGS map of the summit, or go to Acme Mapper 2.1.
Unless they have redrawn the lines, I think the front desk and "east" end of the hotel is in Kittitas, and the restaurant and "west" end are in King.

The 800 MHz Trunked System does not work in that area that is why units have to switch when going en route from the West to the East.

After some digging I found that Snoqualmie Pass fire has their 911 calls answered by both NORCOM and KITTCOM depending on where they are. No matter what NORCOM dispatches then though. I also read a document stating that NORCOM dispatches Skykomish Fire on the same frequency with Zetron tones. So after setting up my scanner to record, I caught some tones and radio traffic but it ended up being Mason County district 6. Does Skykomish and the Pass still get dispatched via NORCOM and if so on that frequency?

154 or 155? It's in the database as 155.190. Asking so I can correct my files if it's incorrect.
So from what I read on interceptradio, it’s 154.190 with a PL of 107.2. I heard what I believe is mason county on 154.190 with a PL of 110.9. Were you referring to king co or mason co? Also I had heard Aid 195 (I think it’s skykomish’s new number after the county renumbered everyone) going out of service on 154.190 with a PL of 107.2

On the King County side. I'll add 154.190 also to my files with an open PL just in case. Thanks Kevin.
