Snowbirds

06-01-10
SNOWBIRD 10 & 11
333.300 A/A Over Flint, 10:45am. Airport on the American side is Port Hope I think? Still up 11:08am. These 2 were talking about going to the Air Races but wouldn't be getting out of debrief until 5pm.
126.750 Cleve.C. 10:42am.
126.700 London Radio, WX for Sarnia, 10:44am.

I also caught SNOWBIRD 1 thru 9 in the afternoon on,
272.100 BTN 11 main Air Show freq. 01:21pm. No rush big Diamond, 01:33pm. Sounds like they did a practice show to set up their lines on the Sarnia airport.
126.750 Cleve.C. Flint area, 01:21pm.
118.800 Flint app, 01:30pm.
119.600 MTC app, 01:32pm.
134.375 Tor.C. 01:37pm.
123.000 Sarnia Unicom, 01:37pm.

Also listen to 116.000 AM mode for the Solo's. They were heard using this freq in Janesville WI over the weekend. I've heard them use the freq also at London Ont, years ago.

Next show after Sarnia is Borden Ont.

Thanks for those frequencies... I'm in Sarnia now and will double check that I have those in my radio at lunch time. Saw the planes all lined up out at the airport as I came in this morning, but unfortunately it doesn't look like the weather is going to be too co-operative this afternoon.

Snowbirds are active over Sarnia as I type this... perhaps giving a little show before they head out. Comms are on 272.1000.

Just heard them switch to 134.3750 so they must be heading Toronto way.

I didn't hear or see anything, I thought I would here them leave Sarnia, but nothing, and not for lack of trying, anyways thanks for the posts, I see they still use all the same freq.

Tks, Moonbounce

Hello,I will be watching them from my backyard Saturday & Sunday weather permitting.I am located on the 5th line of Essa just south of hwy 90 east of Angus, which is close enought to see them doing their show.I saw them late friday afternoon practicing over the Base. There are some ideal places to park along the roads near the Base.As long as your well off on the shoulder of the road you shouldn`t be asked to move by the OPP which operate on 1OPS32 or 1OPS36 here. The larger jets fly directly over my house as they pass by.Good freqs to hear them on would be 272.1 or 123.5 .Using the Uniden 396T here with a discone antenna and Watson rx preamp.Have a great day. 73 Russ VE3ELL * PS THE AIRSHOW BEGINS AT 1PM*
