Yes it's still August but Snow drifts have closed US-34 Trail Ridge Road and CO-5 Mt Evans Road this morning might be time to put those CDOT frequencies, especially 151.085 back into those radios.

166.350 is the RMNP repeater that's active on Trail Ridge.

I haven't `gotten rid' of the `old' freqs even *with* the advent of the state's DTRS. {GRIN!} Too much of the CDOT equipment still has the old radios in `service'. (It's both fun and sad listening to some of the CDOT guys hassling with their radios. `Fun' because of some of the things one can catch them saying and `sad' because the new DTRS radios *apparently* cannot `deal' with the `conditions' presented by the equipment they are mounted in. {WAN GRIN!} )

Yea, Trail Ridge road is always a problem. I'm surpised to hear how much of CDOT's equipment is still using the old freq's. I would have thought they would have converted more of it by now. Are the individual radios really so different that they can't handle the environment?

151.085 for Eisenhower Tunnel and Vail Pass and Glenwood Canyon and Independance Pass (until it closes).

Eisenhower Tunnel also has a simplex UHF Freq they use inside the tunnel for the crash trucks and wreckers but it's very short range and pretty boring.
